Yoshiko Fujikawa is a freelance science writer and editor working predominantly in the fields of biology and life science. She writes for the Japanese magazine Nature Digest on Japanese scientists, topics, and research trends. As a translator, she works for Nature Genetics, Nature Medicine, and other Nature Research journals’ localized content. As an acquisition editor, she works with publishers of biomedical reference books – introducing new foreign materials to be translated, and proposing new publishing projects for scientists or medical professionals. Her natural curiosity and love of science led her to teach scientific writing at Saitama University, where she discovered her passion for communicating scientific developments and knowledge to the broader public.
