Researchers, funders, policy-makers, librarians and data managers all came together for a day of talks and discussions on data sharing and open science at Better Science through Better Data 2019. We want to thank everyone who contributed, attended and live-streamed – without you Better Science through Better Data wouldn’t be the success it is every year.

This year we had an exciting international line-up of speakers, giving talks highlighting the themes of this year's conference: digital footprints and open science in practice. We heard from four exciting keynote speakers - Shelley Stall on 'Your Digital Presence', Tomas Knapen on 'How I learned to stop worrying and love open science', David Stillwell on 'Getting big data' and Mikko Tolonen on 'Integrating open science in the humanities'.

We also saw thought-provoking lightning talks - seven individual stories of data sharing, plus insights from funders on how they are backing up policy with practical support, and an unmissable panel discussion on data misuse.

You can now find the entire conference collection published on figshare, including recordings, live scribe illustrations and slides.

The collection is made available under CC BY license, meaning you can download, share and use the materials however you wish.
